Frequently

Questions
Where do you work?
Everywhere in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. Contact us about in-person, blended, or virtual services.
What is meant by custom curricula?
With the abundance of learning courses and platforms available, one size does not fit all. Most out-of-the-box courses were not designed with specific populations in mind, especially those who speak other languages, have a disability, or are unable to read beyond a certain level. Seniors and those who are tech-shy, for instance, benefit from materials that meet them where they are.
That is why we create custom curriculum guides and online learning resources as well as curate from the best resources and adapt them to suit specific learners. What you get is a training guide designed for specific populations within a tailored learning experience designed to stick. Some examples of customized curricula include parent training guides for school district portals, foundational step-by-step computing basics for older people in large print, and cloud computing guides with controlled readability.
Do you procure computing devices for clients?
Yes, we can source quality discounted new or refurbished computers, tablets, and hotspots to suit your needs. Contact us to learn more.
Do you install telecom hardware, fiber, or other connectivity equipment?
No, but we can refer you to reputable professionals who design and install internet connectivity solutions.
Besides Google Classroom, how else do you help others integrate technology?
We help clients maximize Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Sites, Google Applied Digital Skills, etc. ) for personal and professional use, help schools integrate software, learning platforms and apps, design personal and professional websites on Squarespace, train beginners to use specific devices such as smartphones, tablets (iPad, Grandpad, Android), laptops, and e-readers, and work with education organizations and other agencies to advance the digital skills that are needed to improve how work is done in order to fulfill their missions. If you don’t see your software or skill mentioned here, contact us.
What is a digital equity plan and why does my organization need one?
A digital equity plan is a time-bound document that is developed for the purpose of connecting a specific population, community, or geographic area to broadband internet, computing devices, and opportunities to learn digital skills. Digital equity plans can be short-term or long-term, and are often part of an organization’s overall strategic plan but include specific goals, data, and activities to support implementation and achieve outcomes.
Introducing org-wide initiatives can be challenging, and ensuring they are successful involves cross-functional support, staff buy-in, planning and goal-setting, resource management, leadership, and accountability, among others. Developing a digital equity plan establishes a solid foundation for any organization looking to create lasting changes in their community. Contact us to learn more about our experience developing and implementing digital equity plans in urban, suburban, and rural areas.
Is the Digital Navigators: A Course for Digital Equity Champions available for purchase?
Yes, the course guide is available for purchase but since it comprises only one part of a robust learning experience, we strongly urge you to contact us regarding the full training program for your organization.
